President John Dramani Mahama has revoked the appointment of Edward Nana Yaw Koranteng as Chief Executive Officer of the Minerals Income and Investment Fund (MIIF), effective immediately.
In a letter dated January 13, 2025, and signed by Secretary to the President Callistus Mahama, Yaw Koranteng was directed to hand over his responsibilities to Dr. Cassiel Ato Baah Forson, the President’s representative at the Ministry of Finance. Dr. Forson will oversee the fund’s operations until a new CEO is appointed.
The letter expressed the President’s gratitude for Yaw Koranteng’s service to Ghana, acknowledging his contributions during his tenure.
This change comes as part of the government’s ongoing efforts to ensure smooth leadership transitions in key state institutions.
