Jones Borteye Applerh Appointed Acting CEO of GIHOC Distilleries

President John Dramani Mahama has named Jones Borteye Applerh as the acting chief executive officer (CEO) of GIHOC Distilleries Company Limited.

This appointment, made in accordance with Article 195(1) of the 1992 Constitution, takes effect from January 21, 2025. It comes following the revocation of the appointment of the previous CEO, Maxwell Kofi Jumah.

Mr. Applerh is expected to steer the affairs of the state-owned distillery and drive its strategic growth objectives as it continues to play a vital role in Ghana’s beverage manufacturing sector.
