The minister-designate praised the seamless collaboration among ministries and agencies, which he credited with preventing the situation from spiralling out of control.

“This was a test of our government’s ability to act decisively under pressure, and the results speak for themselves,” Kwakye Ofosu noted.

He also highlighted the professionalism of Ghana’s civil service, stating, “The capacity exists within our civil institutions. What’s needed is proper motivation to unleash their full potential.”

The swift response to the fuel supply disruption demonstrates the importance of proactive governance and effective crisis management systems.

According to Kwakye Ofosu, the incident underscores the need for continuous investment in infrastructure resilience and contingency planning.

The Western Gas Pipeline closure, which initially threatened to disrupt critical sectors, has become a case study in how coordinated leadership and efficient resource management can mitigate national emergencies.

“The ability to stabilise the situation so quickly shows that when governments are focused and teams are empowered, even the toughest challenges can be overcome,” he concluded.
