The Centre for Democratic Movement (CDM) has issued a stern caution to the Mahama-led administration, urging immediate action to protect Ghana’s image amid swirling allegations of suspicious international flights possibly linked to narcotics trafficking.
“Ghana must not become a permissive corridor for narcotic trafficking,” the CDM declared in a strongly worded statement, highlighting growing public concern over the country’s aviation oversight and national security protocols.
The group said the failure to respond transparently to these concerns could expose Ghana to international scrutiny and damage its global reputation.

“The risks are enormous,” the CDM warned. “From increased inspection of Ghanaian travellers and goods to reduced investor confidence and diplomatic fallout, the consequences of inaction are too high.”
CDM called for the Civil Aviation Authority and National Security to release full flight, cargo, and clearance documentation for public scrutiny and urged Parliament to initiate an independent inquiry with potential support from international observers.
The group stressed that only full disclosure and bipartisan action can restore public trust and protect the country’s integrity.
