Ghana is set to hold its much-anticipated Council of State election today, February 11, as 155 candidates from all 16 regions vie for seats in the influential advisory body.
The election will determine regional representatives who will offer counsel to President John Dramani Mahama on key governance and policy matters.
The contest, which operates under an Electoral College system, will see electors from the country’s 261 District Assemblies selecting representatives based on their experience, expertise, and ability to contribute to national development.
