Ghana, Grenada Sign MoU to Deploy Nurses

Ghana is set to send qualified nurses to the Caribbean nation of Grenada to support government medical facilities facing a critical shortage of skilled carers.

This initiative was one of the major highlights of a state visit by the Prime Minister of Grenada, Dickon Amiss Thomas Mitchell, to Ghana on Friday, where he held bilateral talks with President John Dramani Mahama.

The two countries signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to formalise the recruitment of Ghanaian health professionals to work in Grenada.

The move is expected to strengthen healthcare delivery in the Caribbean nation while creating employment opportunities for Ghanaian nurses.

The agreement forms part of broader efforts to deepen cooperation between Ghana and Grenada in areas such as healthcare, education, trade, and cultural exchange.
