Customs Staff Association Vows to Support Finance Minister in Economic Reforms

The Customs Staff Association (CSA) has pledged its support to Ghana’s finance minister, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, in addressing the nation’s financial challenges and strengthening the integrity of the country’s customs systems.

In a statement dated January 22, 2025, and signed by National Secretary Gift E. Kofi Tsamah, the CSA congratulated Dr. Ato Forson following his swearing-in by President John Dramani Mahama.

The Association commended the minister’s dedication to public service and expressed confidence in his ability to implement reforms aimed at achieving economic stability and growth.

“We are prepared to assist in tackling financial challenges and enhancing customs integrity. Together, we can achieve sustainable development that benefits all citizens,” the statement read.

The CSA highlighted the importance of effective fiscal policies in enhancing revenue generation and improving customs operations. It also acknowledged the critical role of the Finance Ministry in steering the nation toward greater economic resilience.

“We anticipate working closely with your office to advance policies that bolster the economy while improving customs efficiency,” the Association added.

Describing Dr. Ato Forson as an exemplary leader with extensive experience, the CSA lauded his vision and commitment, expressing hope for a brighter and more prosperous future under his leadership.

“Your vision and commitment to public service inspire confidence in a brighter, more prosperous future for all Ghanaians,” the statement concluded.
