The National Security has mounted a high-stakes operation at the residence of Bernard Antwi-Bosiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
According to multiple reports, including Puretvonline, operatives arrived early Friday and deployed surveillance drones in an effort to determine whether Chairman Wontumi was present inside the premises.
As of now, the reasons behind the operation remain unclear, and no official statement has been issued by the National Security Secretariat or the Ghana Police Service.

In a dramatic twist, three journalists have reportedly been arrested in Kumasi by National Security personnel for filming the unfolding events at the forecourt of Wontumi’s residence.
The identities of the arrested journalists have not been disclosed, and their current location is unknown.
