Sources indicate that the dispute originated on February 1 during an entertainment event at the school, involving two day students. The disagreement was later reported to their respective factions in the neighbouring Kpembe and Salaga townships, further intensifying hostilities and culminating in the violent confrontation.
The three students still in custody are expected to be processed for court proceedings as investigations continue.
In response to the incident, school authorities, in collaboration with local officials, have established a seven-member committee tasked with investigating the root causes of the clash and making recommendations to prevent future occurrences.
Despite the unrest, authorities confirm that calm has been restored at Salaga SHS, and academic activities have resumed as normal.
