1.4 Billion People, $3.4 Trillion GDP: Africa’s Single Market Push Gains Momentum- Vice President

Ghana’s Vice President, Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, has launched the Africa Prosperity Dialogue 2025 in Accra, emphasising the need for deeper integration to unlock Africa’s $3.4 trillion GDP and serve its 1.4 billion people.

With the theme “Delivering Africa’s Single Market through Infrastructure: Invest. Connect. Integrate,” the dialogue brings together key players from trade, industry, and finance to accelerate the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

Professor Opoku-Agyemang stressed that fragmented markets continue to limit Africa’s economic growth, making investment in connectivity and integration crucial for job creation and long-term prosperity.
