VIDEO: Do Not Forget to Honour This Altar That Brought You to Power—Prophet Nigel Gaisie Cautions NDC
Prophet Nigel Gaisie, founder and leader of the Prophetic Hill Chapel, has urged President-elect John Dramani Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to remain committed to the spiritual altar he claims played a pivotal role in their electoral victory.
Speaking during the 31st Watch Night service, Prophet Gaisie warned the NDC not to repeat what he described as the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) error of neglecting the altar that helped them ascend to power, a decision he believes contributed to their current opposition status.
“In Ghana and around the world, who prophesied that John Dramani Mahama would become president? There was no prophet. After the 2016 election, when Mahama’s name became like a forbidden fruit, I was the only prophet who saw and stood for him,” he declared to his congregation.
Prophet Gaisie claimed that he was instrumental in the NDC’s victory, having been the sole prophet to publicly predict Mahama’s return to power. He emphasised the importance of honouring his altar, which he believes was integral to their success.
“I will be a prophet for a very long time. Let the president-elect and the NDC not forget this altar. Let them not repeat the mistakes of the NPP. The NPP has gone down, and it will take them many years to come back. Why? Because they neglected the altar that brought them to power,” he said.
The prophet highlighted the personal sacrifices he made for the NDC, including losing a house and members of his congregation due to his unwavering support for Mahama during challenging times.
He also revealed that he travelled to Israel to intercede for the NDC, making spiritual investments to enhance the party’s appeal to voters.
Despite his sacrifices, Prophet Gaisie insisted he would not chase anyone for recognition but reiterated his caution against neglecting his altar. “I will not call or chase anybody, but I caution them once again not to neglect this altar,” he stated.
Positioning himself as a dominant spiritual figure, Prophet Gaisie claimed there is no prophet more powerful than he is, asserting his place as a leader among prophets in Ghana.
