Pastor knocked to death by taxicab at Kasoa

A retired pastor of the Apostolic Church of Ghana has been knocked to death by a taxicab at Krispo City in Kasoa on Monday.

The cab, which was allegedly speeding at the time, knocked down Pastor Joseph Koranteng, a 60-year-old man, while he was crossing the street in preparation for a medical examination.

He typically gets his medical examinations at the local health centre, and at the time of the incident, he was allegedly there as normal.

Pastor Koranteng served at the church’s Gomoa Nyanyano branch prior to his retirement. He apparently passed away on the scene.

A few witnesses claimed that the driver of the taxicab, which had the licence plate GX 8200-20, was speeding.

Since then, the police have detained the driver while they conduct an investigation.
