Renowned Ghanaian cleric, Prophet Ebenezer Adarkwa Yiadom, widely known as Opambour or Prophet 1, has made a bold and intriguing prophecy concerning the family of President-elect John Dramani Mahama.
According to the prophet, God has revealed that one of Mahama’s sons will one day ascend to the presidency of Ghana.
Speaking during a live broadcast on his television platform, Prophet Opambour emphasised the divine nature of this revelation, asserting that it is an unchangeable plan ordained by God.
“God said one of the children of John Mahama will become the president of Ghana. This is a divine plan, and no human can alter it,” he proclaimed confidently.
The prophecy has drawn widespread attention, sparking discussions about the potential political trajectory of the Mahama family.
John Dramani Mahama, who recently emerged victorious in Ghana’s 2024 presidential elections, is not only a seasoned politician but also a dedicated family man.
He is blessed with five children, including three sons—Shafik, Sharaf, and Shahid—each of whom has made unique strides in their respective fields:
- Shafik Mahama
The eldest of Mahama’s children, Shafik, is known for his private and reserved demeanor. Despite keeping a low profile, he has been involved in professional ventures and is admired for his humility. Shafik is married and often stays away from the spotlight, particularly the political arena. - Sharaf Mahama
Sharaf, a former professional footballer, has garnered significant recognition for his sports career. He has played for various clubs and remains a beloved figure among Ghanaian youth, celebrated for his discipline, talent, and passion for football. Sharaf’s dedication to sports has earned him widespread respect and admiration. - Shahid Mahama
The youngest of the Mahama sons, Shahid, is charting his own path in life. Known for his intellect and potential, Shahid has largely stayed out of the public eye. However, those close to him regard him as a bright and promising individual who could achieve great things in the future.
Prophet Opambour’s prophecy has reignited conversations about the long-term influence of political dynasties in Ghana. While John Mahama himself is preparing to lead the nation for another term, the possibility of his children continuing his political legacy adds a new dimension to the discourse surrounding the Mahama family.
Although the prophecy does not specify which son will rise to power, each of them possesses qualities that could align with such a future. Whether Shafik’s steady and composed nature, Sharaf’s popularity and leadership through sports, or Shahid’s untapped potential, the prophecy has left Ghanaians speculating about what lies ahead.
