Bawumia will secure 65% votes in Eastern region- Ayeh-Paye

Hon. Samuel Ayeh-Paye, former Member of Parliament for the Ayensuono Constituency, has expressed strong confidence that the NPP Presidential Candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, will secure 65% of the votes in the Eastern Region in the upcoming elections.

Ayeh-Paye noted that regional executives, including those who had grievances with the party, have united to support Bawumia’s campaign. “We have promised to maintain our second position for the party, as we always do during elections,” he stated.

He emphasized the importance of retaining their ranking, stating, “We don’t want the Northern Region to overtake our position in the election. We already know we can’t surpass the Ashantis in the first position, so we will do everything in our power to increase our votes and maintain the second position.”

Ayeh-Paye recalled that the party secured 60% of the votes in the previous elections and aims to increase this to 65% this time.

He also mentioned that all frictions within constituencies have been resolved, ensuring a united front for the campaign.

He stressed that achieving 65% of the votes in the Eastern Region, coupled with 80% from the Ashanti Region and over 50% from the Northern Region, would pave the way for Dr. Bawumia to become the next president of Ghana.

Ayeh-Paye made these remarks during an interview with Puretvonline.com at the NPP Manifesto Launch in Takoradi.
