NDC lacks funds and clear campaign message-Dr. Palgrave Boakye Danquah

The Government Spokesperson for Governance and Security, Dr. Palgrave Boakye Danquah, has claimed that the largest opposition party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), is struggling to run an effective campaign due to a lack of finances and a clear message.

Dr. Boakye Danquah argued that while the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is actively campaigning to win the support of voters, the NDC is focused on creating confusion with the Electoral Commission (EC).

He suggested that the NDC is aware their campaign messages are not resonating with Ghanaians and fears a potential loss in the 2024 elections.

His comments follow the NDC’s call for a forensic audit of the voter register after concerns arose about the transfer of names of eligible voters to other constituencies, which they believe could discourage voter turnout.

The NDC suspects the EC of conspiring with the NPP to influence the outcome of the 2024 general election and has urged the EC to allow an audit to demonstrate transparency.

In an interview on Hot Morning Drive, monitored by Puretvonline.com, Dr. Boakye Danquah insisted that the NDC’s lack of a compelling campaign message has affected their financial support. “That’s why they keep making allegations against the EC,” he added.

When asked about the NPP’s financial situation, Dr. Boakye Danquah stated that the party has supporters who donate to help with their campaign, unlike the NDC.
