Celtic’s Champions League journey came to a devastating end as Bayern Munich snatched a 94th-minute winner to secure a 3-2 aggregate victory in the playoff round.
Brendan Rodgers’ side, trailing 2-1 from the first leg, shocked the German giants when Nicolas Kuhn capitalised on Kim Min-jae’s mistake to give Celtic the lead in the 61st minute.

Before that, Celtic had wasted several chances, with Callum McGregor and Daizen Maeda coming close, while Harry Kane hit the crossbar for Bayern before being subbed off at halftime.
Despite leading late in the game, Celtic were pinned back as Bayern intensified their attacks. Leon Goretzka and Joshua Kimmich both went close before Alphonso Davies bundled home the equaliser in stoppage time after a rebound fell kindly in the box.
The result meant Bayern advanced to the last 16 for the 17th consecutive season, while Celtic left the pitch heartbroken but with pride, having pushed the Bundesliga leaders to the brink.
