Dr. Omane Boamah explained that achieving regional balance in recruitment would not only provide equal opportunities for all Ghanaians but also ensure that every region feels part of the nation’s collective defense effort.

“When we ensure that recruitment is balanced across the regions, we are not just creating an army ; we are reinforcing national integration and ensuring that every part of the country feels part of the larger goal of national security,” he added.

Acknowledging the disparities in past recruitment exercises, the nominee assured the committee that addressing these inequalities would be a top priority if his nomination is approved.

“I will do everything in my power to ensure that no region is left behind in the recruitment process. The military should be a true reflection of Ghana’s rich diversity,” he concluded.

Dr. Omane Boamah’s pledge has been lauded as a progressive step towards fostering inclusivity and national cohesion within the Ghana Armed Forces, as the country continues to prioritize unity in its governance and security efforts.
