Telecel Ghana to Undertake System Upgrade; Customers May Face Brief Internet Disruptions
Telecel Ghana has announced a scheduled system upgrade aimed at improving customer experience and strengthening its network services.
According to the telecom company, the upgrade will take place between 11:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 24, 2025, and 4:00 a.m. on Monday, August 25, 2025.
During this period, customers may experience brief interruptions in mobile data services.

In a notice to subscribers, Telecel Ghana said the upgrade forms part of its continuous commitment to deliver a faster, more reliable digital experience for users.
“We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause,” the statement read, assuring customers that the exercise will be completed swiftly and efficiently.
Telecel urged customers to take note of the maintenance window and plan their data usage accordingly.
The company emphasised that while the service disruption may be short-lived, the long-term benefits of the upgrade will enhance browsing, streaming, and overall digital connectivity across its network.
