Parliament Approves Lydia Akanvariba, Justice Srem-Sai, Brogya Genfi, John Dumelo, Others as Ministers
Parliament has given the green light to Lydia Lamisi Akanvariba as the Minister of State for Public Sector Reforms, along with 13 deputy ministers, following a thorough vetting process by the Appointments Committee.
Among the approved nominees, Justice Srem-Sai has been appointed Deputy Minister for Justice and Attorney General, while Ernest Brogya Genfi will serve as Deputy Minister for Defence. Actor and politician John Dumelo has also secured the role of Deputy Minister for Food and Agriculture.
Other appointees include Thomas Nyarko Ampem (Deputy Minister for Finance), Alhassan Suhuyini (Deputy Minister for Roads and Highways), Dr. Clement Apaak (Deputy Minister for Education), and Sampson Ahi (Deputy Minister for Trade, Agribusiness, and Industry).

The approval followed the adoption of the twelfth and thirteenth reports of the Appointments Committee, which vetted the nominees beginning Wednesday, February 26, 2025, before recommending them for parliamentary approval.
