The Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations and Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram, Hon. Samuel Nartey George, has unveiled major development initiatives for the Ningo community, including the establishment of a nursing training college and the construction of the Tsopoli–Ningo road.
The MP made the announcement on Saturday, September 6, 2025, when he chaired the grand Homowo Durbar at Ningo.
According to him, the proposed nursing training college will not only provide a hub for community health education but also create opportunities for junior high school graduates to pursue careers in nursing and other allied health professions.
He stressed that the project forms part of efforts to equip the youth with employable skills while strengthening the country’s health workforce.
In addition, Sam George disclosed plans for the construction of the Tsopoli–Ningo road, a long-awaited project expected to improve transportation, accessibility, and economic activity in the area.
Demonstrating his support for the community’s cultural heritage, the MP also presented a cash donation of GHS 100,000 to the Ningo Traditional Council to support this year’s Homowo celebrations.
The event, which drew chiefs, elders, youth groups, and dignitaries, was marked by vibrant cultural displays and reaffirmed the unity and resilience of the people of Ningo.
