Award-winning Ghanaian music producer MOG Beatz has reignited his long-running feud with dancehall star Shatta Wale after accusing him of selling his music catalogue without giving due credit or paying royalties.
On Tuesday, August 19, 2025, MOG announced on X (formerly Twitter) that he had successfully removed two of Shatta Wale’s projects—the Reign Album and the Wondaboy Album—from Apple Music.
“You sell my beats, erase my credit, then buy luxury cars,” he wrote in a fiery post directed at the dancehall act, who is currently facing a separate tax probe by the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO).

According to MOG, Shatta Wale allegedly claimed full production credit for songs created by him and other producers, using them to secure a catalogue deal with an unnamed international company. The producer insisted this was done without their knowledge or consent, branding the move as fraudulent.
MOG warned that the removal of the albums was only the beginning:
“Two albums have already been taken down, and more are coming down soon. Sell your assets and refund the company you scammed. Leasing your catalogue just to survive? That’s the path you chose. This time, the talk will come with action,” he declared.
The dispute traces back to 2018, when MOG produced 10 tracks on Shatta Wale’s Reign album, including hits like Gringo, Bend Over, If I See, and Squeeze. Despite the project’s commercial success, MOG claimed he was never paid for his work.
In 2021, he publicly called out Shatta Wale for withholding payment, writing at the time:
“Money Man @shattawalegh, me I dey see you as a big brother I never had. I know you are not stingy like that lol. I produced 10 songs on the #ReignAlbum, but I have not seen any cash from you since 2018.”
Shatta Wale had promised to compensate him then, but MOG maintains that the pledge was never honoured.
The latest takedown has intensified tensions between the two, coming just a day after Shatta Wale’s detention by EOCO over alleged tax irregularities related to his luxury Lamborghini purchase.
