Medikal apologizes to Ghana’s media

Ghanaian Rapper, Samuel Adu Frimpong popularly known as Medikal has returned back to Ghana following a sell-out performance on May 3, 2024, at the London’s Indigo at the O2.

As he arrived, he spoke with the media about his recent outburst at them.

A day following his performance, Medikal was interviewed on UTV’s United Showbiz Entertainment program and was questioned about his wife Fella Makafui’s film debut.

Just like Fella did for his London concert when she had appeared on the show a week before, the host, Mzgee, asked whether Medikal had any good wishes for Fella Makafui ahead of the debut of her movie “Resonance”.

Medikal reminded the host that the question was improper question given their recent divorce, expressing displeasure with it.

Later, he posted videos on social media in which he vigorously attacked the show’s host, the stations owners and managers and Ghana’s media as a whole.

When he returned to Ghana, he even advised the media not to bother him with pointless questions.

On May 14, 2024, however, upon his arrival in Ghana, Medikal expressed regret for his behavior and clarified that he had no intention of offending anyone.

I like the media because they back my endeavors, but I’m just that kind of person—if you approach me, I’ll respond. I don’t mean to offend anyone, but my reaction can sound or appear disrespectful. As a human, I am prone to making mistakes. I apologize for using some of those terms, but I was’vexed’ during that time. Since I am not a robot, it goes without saying that I have emotions. Nevertheless, I would want to thank all of the media outlets who have supported me,” he stated.

The “Too Risky” hitmaker continued by saying that he is grateful for the support he received from attendees of his Live in London event, which took place at the Indigo at O2.

On the bill for the sold-out event were, among others, Shatta Wale, Sarkodie, Jay Bhad, Sister Deborah, Efya, and Bisa K Dei.
