The Dansoman Circuit Court has granted GH₵20,000 in bail to the leading member of Alan Kyerematen’s Movement for Change, Hopeson Adorye, with two sureties, one to be justified.

In response to his allegations that the ruling NPP had intimidated voters in the Volta area with dynamites in the run-up to the 2016 election, Mr. Adorye accepted an offer from the Police Headquarters to help with an investigation.
The former NPP member claimed in an appearance on Accra FM that the region’s election turnout was impacted by the dynamite blast because many people fled for their lives.
The court has adjourned the case to June 26, 2024.
