Minister of State for Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, has reaffirmed that the construction of the new Hajj Village is being solely funded by the Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL), not taxpayers.
In a post on X, he dismissed speculations that public funds were being used for the project, emphasising that the government remains committed to financial transparency.
President John Dramani Mahama officially broke ground for the facility on Friday, February 28. The Hajj Village is expected to streamline travel arrangements for Ghanaian Muslims embarking on their pilgrimage to Mecca.
