In the upcoming elections in December, President Akufo-Addo is pleading with Ghanaians to vote against National Democratic Congress candidate John Dramani Mahama.
Voting for the former president, according to him, would jeopardize the country’s direction and reverse the progress accomplished during his leadership.
Following his tour of Blue Skies Limited’s facilities, President Akufo-Addo told supporters at a small gathering in Doboro, Greater Accra, that he continues to back Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia as the front-runner for election.
“This year is election year, and limited registration has begun.” Anyone who is eligible and hasn’t registered yet should do so. This is so that you can exercise your power, which is your right to vote.
Additionally, our task is straightforward when voting time comes. I can’t give authority to someone like that because they seem to disapprove of the person I beat and the work I’ve done since taking over. When he arrives, he will undo everything we have accomplished.
“I’m begging you to vote for the person I’ve worked with for the past seven and a half years,” he continued. I know he will come and carry on the task I started as Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia because I have faith in him.
