In a statement marking International Women’s Day, Madam Mensa congratulated all female staff of the Commission, acknowledging their dedication, resilience, and professionalism. She further recognised the strides Ghana has made in advancing gender equality while also acknowledging the persistent barriers that hinder women’s full participation in society.

Referencing the 2025 International Women’s Day theme, “Accelerating Action: A Call for Gender Equality,” Madam Mensa urged all stakeholders to strengthen efforts to create a society where women and girls enjoy equal opportunities and representation.

“Let’s come together to accelerate action and join forces to create a more just and equitable society for all,” she urged.

Encouraging young women and girls to remain confident and determined, she highlighted their strength and resilience as a source of inspiration. She also paid tribute to women who have contributed to the Commission’s success over the past three decades, reaffirming the institution’s commitment to gender equality.

“Congratulations to all the women who have made a difference in the Electoral Commission of Ghana over the last three decades. We honour you today and look forward to continuing the fight for gender equality together,” she said.
