In the current ambulance procurement trial, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has declared that it will soon provide evidence to bolster the third accused’s accusations.
In the ongoing trial of Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, Richard Jakpa, the third accused, claimed in court on May 23 that the AG had made several attempts to convince him to incriminate the Minority Leader and former Deputy Finance Minister.
NDC flagbearer John Dramani Mahama’s assistant Felix Ofosu Kwakye called the proof “ironclad” in an interview with Eyewitness News monitored by Puretvonline.com.
“This is not merely a claim; it is unquestionable. The NDC does not engage in the practice of producing meaningless content. As our chairman has stated, we will release that evidence as soon as the next week begins. Just allow us a few days.
“Keep in mind that Jakpa was testifying under oath, so if his statements turned out to be untrue, he might have faced imprisonment for deceiving the court. Additionally, I doubt that someone as vested in his freedom as Jakpa would level such an accusation carelessly.
“We are not just going to say we will put up evidence if we have none. Again, we in the NDC are a serious organisation, and we want the people of Ghana to take us seriously,” he said.
Felix Kwakye Ofosu went on, saying, “The day the NDC announces it will reveal the nature of the evidence.”
