Church of Pentecost Taught Me Success Without Christ Is Failure -Dr Joseph Siaw Agyepong

Elder Dr Joseph Siaw Agyepong has described the completion and presentation of a new ultra-modern church complex at Trassaco in Accra as a spiritual thanksgiving rather than a display of wealth, crediting the Church of Pentecost for shaping his faith, character, and leadership journey.

Speaking at the thanksgiving and dedication service, Dr Siaw Agyepong paid heartfelt tribute to the leadership and ministers of the Church of Pentecost, whom he described as his spiritual fathers, mentors, and prayer partners.

“My Apostle, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, the Chairman of the Church; my Apostle, Apostle Samuel Obuobi, the General Secretary; and all members of the Executive Council and our revered ministers, apostles, and prophets, you have taught me, trained me, and disciplined me with the Word of God and prayer,” he said.

Dr Agyepong emphasised that the Church of Pentecost did not merely nurture his calling but deliberately shaped his character, teaching him to fear God above men and to anchor success in Christ.

“The Church taught me that success without Christ is failure,” he declared. “This Church shaped my spiritual foundation. It corrected me in love, counselled me wisely, and refused to be influenced by money.”

According to him, the Church of Pentecost stands apart as an institution that upholds truth and discipline, even when dealing with people of influence.

“This is not a church you can boost with your financial strength. They will correct you in love and guide you with wisdom,” he noted.

Describing the newly constructed worship centre, Dr Siaw Agyepong was clear that the edifice was not a personal monument or a gift of affluence.

“This temple is not a gift of wealth; it is a gift to the Church of Pentecost as a sign of gratitude,” he said.

He acknowledged that the prayers of the Church sustained him during moments of unseen danger and uncertainty.

“You prayed for me when I was unaware of the dangers. You shaped my character, not just my calling,” he added.

In an emotional reflection, Dr Agyepong paid special tribute to Elder Moses, whom he described as his first presiding elder and a key figure in his early spiritual development.

“He nurtured me and developed me,” he said, noting that Apostle Tetteh Judah and Apostle Boakye Agyarko could attest to those formative years.

“They held our hands as deacons, guiding us with patience, discipline, and prayer,” he recalled.

As the ultramodern Trassaco church was formally presented to the Church of Pentecost, Dr Siaw Agyepong concluded by reaffirming his deep loyalty to the Church that, in his words, “raised him to fear God before fearing men.”
