Lord Commey’s Home Attacked in Midnight Raid

The residence of Lord Commey, former Director of Operations at the Jubilee House, was attacked at midnight on January 31, 2025, by a group of men in both civilian and military attire.

The assailants claimed they had orders to tow Mr. Commey’s vehicles to Blue Gate, a National Security facility.

According to sources at the scene, the intruders insisted on seizing a total of six vehicles belonging to Mr. Commey. Among them were a Range Rover, used by Mr. Commey, and a Maserati owned by his wife.

The remaining four vehicles—Chinese-manufactured pickups belonging to his private company—were parked at a facility opposite his main residence.

Reports indicate that Mr. Commey’s private security personnel and other occupants of the house were assaulted, compelling them to grant the attackers access to the property.

At the time of the incident, Mr. Commey was not present, but he was alerted and arrived as the commotion had drawn the attention of neighbours.

Upon his arrival, sources say, Mr. Commey maintained his composure and proposed that instead of towing the vehicles, the men could take possession of the keys and drive them away to avoid any damage. Despite the presence of police officers called to the scene, the attackers proceeded with their actions unimpeded.

It remains unclear whether the operation was sanctioned by the ruling government.

However, observers note that similar forceful seizures have been reported following the recent electoral victory of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) approximately a month ago.

As investigations continue, the public is urged to stay tuned for further updates on this developing story.
