Redeem Your Promises- Gakli Residents Urge President Mahama

Residents of Gakli in the Ketu South Municipality have called on President John Dramani Mahama to deliver on the promises he made during his 2024 campaign. These commitments include road construction, access to potable water, a health facility, and connection to the national electricity grid—critical needs for the underserved community.

Faced with poor roads, inadequate water supply, and unreliable electricity, the residents are eager for tangible improvements. Many recall the challenges they faced during the Akufo-Addo administration, including alleged intimidation during the 2024 limited voter registration exercise, which left them disillusioned.

With the NDC’s victory in the December 2024 elections, the community is optimistic that President Mahama will fulfil his commitments and bring much-needed development to Gakli.

“We gave our overwhelming support, with over 97% of votes in our area going to the NDC. Now we are counting on the government to deliver,” said Yusufu Isaka, the NDC Electoral Area Coordinator.
