A multi-vehicle accident near the Tesano-Papaye area on Tuesday, December 24, left five vehicles, including one belonging to severely damaged.
The collision was triggered by a truck that reportedly suffered a brake failure. According to eyewitnesses, the out-of-control truck rammed into multiple vehicles, causing significant damage along its path.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
Eyewitnesses recounted how the truck driver fled the scene immediately after the crash, abandoning the vehicle. Emergency responders arrived promptly, confirming that while all five vehicles involved sustained substantial damage, including Bishop Amoako’s car, no lives were lost.
Authorities have since launched an investigation into the incident. Efforts are underway to locate the runaway driver and determine the precise cause of the brake failure. Officials have also emphasised the importance of vehicle maintenance to prevent similar accidents in the future.
This latest incident adds to a string of unfortunate events linked to Bishop Amoako. Recently, his 16-year-old son was involved in a tragic accident at East Legon that resulted in the deaths of two young girls. These successive events have cast a shadow on the bishop’s otherwise notable public presence.
As investigations continue, the public is urged to prioritise road safety and report any safety concerns promptly to authorities.
