Have kids, skip marriage- Bro. Sammy advises

Ghanaian gospel musician Brother Sammy has once again stirred controversy with his unconventional views on marriage.

In a recent interview on NeatFM, the outspoken artist advised young men that having children outside of marriage is more important than getting married.

Brother Sammy, known for his controversial statements, elaborated on his stance by emphasising the potential risks and uncertainties associated with marriage.

He argued that while marriage is often perceived as a lifelong commitment, it can lead to neglect and doubts, unlike the relationship between a parent and a child.

According to Brother Sammy, a child’s love is consistent and reliable, providing a sense of security that marriage may lack.

“Marriage is good, but I advise people to give birth and have children. I will never advise someone to get married,” he stated during the interview. He further explained, “Anything can happen in a marriage; you can be neglected by your partner. But even a stubborn child would support their parent if the marriage were to fall apart.”

Brother Sammy suggested that a child’s loyalty outweighs the unpredictable nature of marital relationships.

Despite being married himself, he confidently asserted that he would not recommend marriage to others.

He went on to claim that marriage tends to benefit women more than men, a viewpoint that sparked debate among his listeners.

These comments have prompted mixed reactions on social media, with some people agreeing with his perspective, while others criticise him for undermining the institution of marriage.

Brother Sammy’s latest remarks have certainly added to his reputation as a provocative figure in the Ghanaian entertainment industry.
