We hold you high in esteem- Ashanti Chiefs tell Bawumia

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has been praised by the Ashanti Regional House of Chiefs for being the first dignitary who is not an Asanteman to attend the house.

As part of their three-day campaign visit in the area, Dr. Bawumia and his entourage were welcomed to the Ashanti Regional House of Chiefs in Kumasi by Daasebre Osei Bonsu II, the occupant of the Silver Stool of Asanteman. On behalf of the Asante Hene Otumfour Osei Tutu, the Asante, the team was blessed.

“We are happy to have you here because you are the first non-Asanteman dignitary to visit the Ashanti Regional House of Chiefs and have our Queen mothers seated before 9 AM. It shows how we hold you in high esteem you,” Daasebre Osei Bonsu II continued.

As part of his campaign to become the nation’s leader, the NPP flagbearer has started a tour called “Bold Solutions for the Future,” and he has already visited 15 regions.
