We are deeply disheartened – Sponsors of Chef Smith respond to fraudulent GWR Cook-A-Thon certificate

The sponsors of Chef Smith’s recent cook-a-thon event have reacted to his public admission of falsifying processes and documentation in his attempt to set a Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon.

In a meeting with the Amadia Shopping Center’s management, the venue of the cook-a-thon, Chef Smith acknowledged his involvement in the fraudulent activities.

He acknowledged in his confession that his purpose was a desire for media attention and personal celebrity.

After learning of this, Chef Smith sincerely apologised to the Amadia Shopping Centre CEO, the event’s organising committee, and all of the fans who took part.

The sponsors have accepted Chef Smith’s choice to come forward and apologise, but they have also expressed disappointment at the wrongdoing.

The sponsors said, “We recognise and appreciate Chef Smith’s willingness to admit his mistakes and offer a public apology, even though we are deeply disheartened by the discovery of these fraudulent actions.”

“Our support stemmed from a common goal of inspiring the community and celebrating culinary excellence. We are steadfast in our commitment to these principles and will always act honourably in all that we do.

The sponsors also praised the government’s prompt action and expressed gratitude to the public and media for their understanding and support.

They declared that when they sponsored events in the future, they would do it with greater ethics and transparency.
