Vote massively for Mahama, NDC to build Ghana — Lordina

Mrs. Lordina Mahama, wife of NDC’s presidential candidate John Dramani Mahama and founder of the Lordina Foundation, has been actively engaging with various groups across the country, rallying support for her husband’s presidential bid ahead of the December 7 elections.

Through a series of meetings with traditional leaders, market women, and other community groups, she has highlighted key policies in the NDC manifesto aimed at improving the lives of women, children, and Ghanaians at large.

On the campaign trail, Mrs. Mahama has remained true to her passion for giving back to her community. Known for her humanitarian work, she has made significant donations to orphanages, hospitals, and health facilities, reinforcing her commitment to making healthcare accessible for all.

Over the years, her foundation has funded the development of fully equipped maternity and children’s wards and provided essential medical supplies to numerous health facilities across the country.

“We are working to make healthcare not just a privilege for the few, but a right for everyone,” Mrs. Mahama emphasised during her engagements.

Her dedication to education is also evident. Despite her husband’s time in opposition, Mrs. Mahama continued to impact the lives of many, especially women and children, ensuring that access to quality education and healthcare remained a central focus of her efforts.

In her campaign, Mrs. Mahama has visited key regional markets where she met with market women, queen mothers, and local leaders, promoting her husband’s agenda under the banner of #Mahama4Change2024.

She highlighted policies that would directly benefit the community, including affordable loans for women and traders—a welcome change given the current challenges posed by high lending rates that affect small businesses.

Addressing concerns raised by opposition factions, Mrs. Mahama refuted claims that the NDC would abolish the Free SHS policy. “These are lies. My husband has always been committed to the Free SHS policy and has plans to improve it,” she assured her audience.

As she continues to spread the NDC’s message, Mrs. Mahama is also promoting policies that cater to women and children, such as the establishment of a Women’s Development Bank and the National Apprenticeship Programme, aimed at equipping women and youth with valuable skills.

Additionally, she reaffirmed her support for the NDC’s fee-free policy for first-year university students.

In her closing remarks, Mrs. Mahama stressed the importance of securing a parliamentary majority for the NDC in the upcoming elections, urging voters to choose development and a brighter future for all Ghanaians. “Vote for John Mahama and the NDC to build the Ghana we want,” she said.

Her campaign continues to inspire and rally Ghanaians, as she remains steadfast in her vision to bring positive change for women, children, and the country as a whole.
