VIDEO: A-Plus Fires Back at NPP General Secretary, Labels Him a “Failed Leader”

The Member of Parliament-elect for Gomoa Central, Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A-Plus, has lashed out at the General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Justin Frimpong Kodua, calling him a “failed secretary” who contributed to the party’s defeat in the 2024 general elections.

A-Plus’s comments came after Justin Kodua publicly dismissed his claims about an alleged proposal from the NPP to align with him in Parliament.

In a Facebook post, A-Plus alleged that the NPP, represented by Hon. Kennedy Agyapong, had approached him with a proposal. The party reportedly promised not to contest the Gomoa Central parliamentary seat in the 2028 elections if he chose to collaborate with them in the upcoming Ninth Parliament.

A-Plus described the offer as a sign of the NPP’s serious intent to secure his cooperation.

However, in a swift response, Justin Kodua categorically denied the claims, stating:

“The NPP has not met with A-Plus, nor has it authorised anyone to convey any message to him on its behalf.”

Unfazed by Kodua’s rebuttal, A-Plus responded sharply, accusing the NPP General Secretary of incompetence and blaming him for the party’s electoral loss.

He further alleged that Hon. Kennedy Agyapong had indeed met with him to discuss potential collaboration.

A-Plus asserted that after their meeting, Kennedy Agyapong attempted to inform the NPP chairman about their discussions but, unable to reach him directly, relayed the information through the chairman’s aide.

According to A-Plus, this was part of efforts to ensure his alignment with the NPP in Parliament.

A-Plus also levelled serious accusations against Justin Kodua, claiming the general secretary demanded something before joining the campaign of the outgoing vice president, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
