On November 9, 2024, at approximately 2:00 p.m., Awuah visited the complainant’s home under the pretext of meeting her husband, Nana Nkansah. Upon being informed that he was unavailable, Awuah pretended to leave but returned moments later, entered the complainant’s room, and stole the cash and mobile phone before fleeing.

On November 11, 2024, Awuah was apprehended and taken to the police station, where she confessed to the theft in her caution statement during investigations.

The court handed down the sentence as a deterrent, underscoring the importance of accountability and respect for others’ property.
