The GNFS, in a statement, advised residents and motorists to avoid the affected area and use alternative routes to ensure their safety.

“Trust our dedicated firefighters to bring the situation under control. Further updates will be provided shortly,” the GNFS shared on Facebook.

While the fire has been brought under control, one individual is feared dead, and three others sustained injuries. Emergency medical teams have transported the injured to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The GNFS has reiterated the importance of adhering to safety protocols, especially during welding and other potentially hazardous activities, to prevent similar incidents.
