Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the Member of Parliament (MP) for North Tongu, has donated 100 wheelchairs to individuals with physical disabilities in his constituency as a gesture of appreciation.
In a Facebook post on Monday, December 16, the MP shared that this initiative continues his tradition of expressing gratitude to his constituents after each electoral victory.
“This weekend, I continued with my tradition of offering a little gesture of appreciation to my beloved constituents immediately after every election victory. Yesterday, I donated 100 wheelchairs to my special constituents,” Ablakwa wrote.
Reflecting on past gestures, he recalled funding medical bills for children at the Battor Catholic Hospital’s Children’s Ward following a previous victory. He also expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support in the recent election, where he secured 41,073 votes—representing 93.12% of the total votes cast.
The MP reiterated his commitment to improving the lives of his constituents, promising to serve them “better than ever.”
Ablakwa’s closest competitor, Dr. John Saviour Eleblu Yao of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), garnered 3,035 votes.
