Man lynched for allegedly stealing iron rods in Kasoa

A Liberian man, believed to be in his early 30s and known locally as Seven Cedis, has been lynched at Kasoa Krispo City in the Awutu Senya East Municipality of the Central Region for allegedly stealing iron rods.

The lifeless body of the man was discovered by the roadside on Thursday morning, surrounded by sticks and tires, with visible injuries and blood oozing from his mouth.

According to information gathered by Adom News, the deceased was accused by some residents of stealing iron rods, which reportedly led to the mob attack.

Eyewitnesses at the scene declined to speak on camera, but some residents allege that the theft was the motive behind the violent act.

The incident has sparked concerns about the persistence of mob justice in the area, with calls for authorities to address such incidents and enforce the rule of law.

Police are yet to issue an official statement or confirm any arrests related to the incident. The body of the deceased has since been conveyed to the mortuary for further investigation.

This tragic event underscores the need for community members to rely on legal channels rather than resorting to vigilantism.
