President-elect John Dramani Mahama has announced the formation of a seasoned transition team to oversee the handover of power, in line with the Presidential (Transition) Act, 2012 (ACT 845).
The 2024 Transition Team will collaborate with the outgoing administration to ensure a seamless transfer of political authority, upholding Ghana’s commitment to orderly governance.
The team is composed of experts with extensive backgrounds in finance, governance, and public administration, reflecting a focus on professionalism and inclusivity.

Additionally, President-elect Mahama has nominated Rt. Hon. Edward Doe Adjaho to the Transitional Advisory Council. Adjaho’s extensive legal and parliamentary expertise will be crucial in guiding the advisory aspects of the transition process.
The Transition Team’s primary objective is to coordinate efforts with the outgoing government to address critical governance issues, ensure the continuity of national programs, and prepare the incoming administration to assume office effectively.
