John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), is set to file his nomination papers today, Monday, September 9, 2024, for the upcoming presidential elections.
Joyce Bawah Mogtari, spokesperson for the Mahama campaign, confirmed the filing, underscoring its importance as the NDC positions itself for the 2024 polls.
Mogtari highlighted the campaign’s emphasis on inclusivity and economic recovery, stressing the party’s commitment to addressing key national issues.
“This is a momentous occasion for the NDC as we gear up to build the Ghana we want together. Our campaign focusses on jobs, accountability, development, and a better future for all Ghanaians,” she stated.
Mahama’s nomination filing comes amid his #Mahama4Change2024 tour in the Bono Region, where he has been engaging traditional leaders, religious figures, and local communities.
His message has been centred on revitalising the economy and generating job opportunities through forward-thinking policies aimed at fostering national growth.
