HOT AUDIO: NDC Deputy General Secretary threatens to beat Samuel Koku Anyidoho over disruptive behaviour

The National Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mustapha Gbande, has issued a stern warning to Samuel Koku Anyidoho, CEO of the Atta Mills Institute, following a disruptive incident during a memorial service for the late President Prof. John Evans Atta Mills.

The altercation occurred on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at Asomdwee Park in Accra, during an event to commemorate the 12th anniversary of President Mills’ passing. A disagreement erupted when Anyidoho, a former deputy General Secretary of the NDC, exceeded his allocated time, causing delays in the second scheduled event organised by the NDC and the JEA Mills Memorial Heritage.

Mustapha Gbande expressed his frustration, labelling Anyidoho’s behaviour as “absurd” and vowed to take action if such disruptions occur again. “I don’t think Koku Anyidoho would be happy seeing someone create a disgraceful scene to tarnish the memory of his noble father, so he should stop disgracing the late President Atta Mills,” Gbande stated.

He added, “This is his last warning; he should stop disgracing the NDC anytime he gets the opportunity to speak, or we will beat him and hand him over to the police.”

The two events, both aimed at honouring the late President Mills, were marred by the delay caused by Anyidoho’s extended speech, highlighting ongoing tensions within the party. The NDC leadership has emphasised the need for respect and decorum in such commemorations, urging all members to uphold the dignity of the late president’s memory.

He made this statement in a phone interview on Hot FM Morning Drive monitored by Puretvonline.com
