HOT AUDIO: Any Pastor Claiming to Enter ‘Sumsum Wiase’ is a Witch or Demon – Pentecost Elder
Elder Gabriel Edu Kwesi of the Church of Pentecost, Juapong District, has issued a strong warning to Christians, declaring that any pastor or prophet who claims to enter a spiritual world—popularly called “sumsum wiase”—during preaching or deliverance is operating with demonic powers.
Speaking in a phone interview with puretvonline, the church elder stressed that Jesus Christ closed the chapter of “sumsum wiase” after His resurrection, citing Revelations 1:18, which states that Christ now holds “the keys of hell and of death.”
“Any man or woman of God who claims to have entered into the spiritual world when delivering a possessed person is a witch or demon himself,” Elder Kwesi said.

He explained that the true source of power for deliverance lies in the word of God, fasting, and faith in Jesus Christ. “Jesus gives power to anyone who accepts Him as Lord and personal saviour. Once you continue to read the word of God and fast, you receive power to deliver people who are demonically possessed,” he added.
Challenging the basis of such practices, he asked, “Where in the Bible did you see Elijah entering into ‘sumsum wiase’ before confronting and defeating 450 prophets of Baal on Mount Carmel?”
According to him, once a person becomes a Christian, he or she automatically becomes an ambassador of Christ with spiritual authority. He insisted that pastors who boast of entering supernatural realms for deliverance are operating under false or evil spirits.
Elder Kwesi further cautioned believers to test the spirits, remain rooted in the word of God, and follow genuine men of God rather than chasing after sensationalism.
“Today’s youth don’t want to be controlled or taught in the word of God. If you ask them to read or fast, they complain. But that is how we were trained. The way people worship today is not how Christianity was taught,” he lamented.
He urged Christians to respect their pastors, remain humble in learning, and rely on the authority of Christ rather than being swayed by practices he described as demonic deception.
“Jesus has closed the docket of ‘sumsum wiase’, so how can you go there when the keys are with Jesus Christ?” he questioned.
