President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has appointed Mr. Herbert Krapa as the new Minister for Energy, effective Tuesday, November 19, 2024.
This appointment follows Mr. Krapa’s tenure as the Minister of State at the Ministry of Energy, a position he assumed in July 2024.
The President lauded Mr. Krapa for his exceptional performance in his previous role, citing his professionalism, diligence, and unwavering commitment to Ghana’s energy agenda.
Under his leadership, the ministry has made strides in addressing key challenges in the energy sector, including improved electricity distribution, enhanced partnerships for renewable energy projects, and efforts to reduce the nation’s energy debt.
In a statement issued by Eugene Arhin, the Director of Communications at the Jubilee House, President Akufo-Addo expressed confidence in Mr. Krapa’s ability to excel as the substantive Energy Minister.
The statement highlighted Mr. Krapa’s collaborative approach to leadership, which has helped foster trust among stakeholders in the energy sector.
