Guinness World Record: Afua fails to break longest singing marathon record

Guinness World Records( GWR) has finally responded to Afua Owusu Asantewaa Aduonum’s sing-a-thon attempt.

Afua Asantewaa embarked on a five-day singing marathon, commencing at midnight on Sunday, December 24, and concluding at 7:00 am on December 29, 2024.

By the time she wrapped up her record attempt on Friday morning, Afua had sung continuously for five days, six hours, and 55 minutes.

But after months of speculation and sitting on tenterhooks, GWR says Afua’s attempt was not successful.

“Unfortunately Afua’s Guinness World Records attempt for the longest singing marathon was not successful, but we hope that she will make another attempt soon. We’ve seen how inspirational it has been for her fans,” the GWR noted in a tweet on February 23.
