Madam Ntim, who delivered the message of solidarity on behalf of the Director of Special Education, praised Ecobank Ghana for its act of corporate social responsibility, highlighting the crucial role technology plays in bridging educational gaps for learners with special needs.

“Ecobank has demonstrated a deep understanding of the transformative power of technology in bridging the learning gap and expanding access to quality education,” she stated. “This initiative aligns perfectly with our national vision of ensuring that no child is left behind in the digital era.”

The new digital centre is expected to transform the learning experience of deaf students by offering interactive platforms, enhancing communication through visuals, and equipping learners with critical digital skills needed to thrive in the 21st century.

According to Madam Ntim, such interventions not only empower students but also provide educators with innovative strategies to improve teaching and learning outcomes.

She expressed profound gratitude to Ecobank for its commitment to inclusivity, urging other corporate bodies to emulate the bank’s example.

“On behalf of the Ghana Education Service and the Special Education Division, we express our heartfelt gratitude to Ecobank Ghana for this support. Your commitment to inclusivity sets a shining example for other institutions to emulate,” she noted.

Madam Ntim ended her address with a light-hearted appeal for more support, saying, “Like Oliver Twist, we humbly request that this generosity be extended to other schools as well.”

The establishment of the digital centre forms part of broader national efforts to make technology a central pillar in education, ensuring that every child, irrespective of disability, can thrive, achieve, and contribute meaningfully to Ghana’s development.
