The Ga Mantse Foundation, under the leadership of Nii Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, has donated school supplies, including bags, books, and shoes, to ten schools within his kingdom.
Additionally, each school received a cash donation of ₵10,000, aimed at enhancing educational opportunities and reducing financial burdens on parents.
The donation is part of the King’s vision to prioritise education as a transformative tool within the Ga State.
Speaking at the presentation ceremony, the CEO of the Ga Mantse Foundation, Nathaniel NeelLanye Bruce, revealed that this initiative fulfils a promise made by the King to invest in the future of children through education.
“The scholarships we are presenting today are the fulfilment of our vision. Under the leadership of King Teckie Tei Kotey II, we are turning dreams into realities,” he said.
He congratulated the beneficiary schools and encouraged them to continue working hard to achieve academic excellence.
The Director of Education for the Accra Sub-Metro, Mrs. Justine Ivy Apau, lauded the initiative, describing it as a life-changing gesture that has brought relief to 200 students across the ten selected schools.
“This thoughtful initiative will not only enhance the quality of education but also instill confidence, comfort, dignity, and self-esteem in the students, motivating them to strive for success,” she stated.
Mrs. Apau took the opportunity to express her gratitude to Nii Tackie Teiko Tsuru II on behalf of the beneficiary schools.
