The Executive Director of Economic and Organized Crime Office, COP Maame Tiwaa Mensah, has stated that she called Adam Bonaa’s wife to appeal to her conscience as a fellow woman to talk to her husband to stop maligning and impugning her integrity at every opportunity.
She believed that men often pay attention to their spouses, and she believed that Adam Bonaa would do the same on this particular occasion.
Maame Tiwaa emphasised that she never threatened Adam Bonaa’s wife, saying that everyone who knows her will recognise that she is above what he is saying and will treat the accusation of threat against her with the contempt it deserves.
Since 2018, Adam Bonaa and I have been friends. We can converse on the phone for hours since we are friends. His wife also became a close friend of mine through Adam Bonaa, to whom I can even transfer money via Momo.
For whatever reason, since May of this year, Bonaa has been lying about me. Adam Bonaa lies about me on each platform he gets his hands on. “I’ve tried, but I have some common friends with Adam Bonaa who have told him to stop lying about me,” she disclosed.
Maame Tiwaa continued, “It is very unfortunate that Adam Bonaa chose to twist the call to his wife for his own selfish, parochial interest because he made it clear to some common friends that he would destroy her.”
The justification comes after security expert Dr Adam Bonaa said on the radio on Wednesday that the EOCO CEO had threatened his wife by calling.
She literally threatened my wife, my kids, and me over the phone. I find it really shocking that someone of her calibre, who has been given authority over a public office, would act in that way, so I’m going to file an official complaint with the CID to have her investigated,” Dr. Bonaa said.
He clarified that he was in a standoff with the EOCO boos because he had petitioned Parliament to end the inquiry into Cecilia Dapaah’s case after the Office of the Special Prosecutor had sent the issue to them.
