Finali Limited responded directly to the Chairman of the Appointments Committee, Bernard Ahiafor, confirming Ablakwa’s tenancy agreement and providing details of the property’s ownership and legal status.

The company outlined the following records:

  1. Land Title Certificate issued on December 15, 2017, registered as GA. 53985 Volume 02 Folio 1440, for 0.29 acres (one plot), originally transferred from Finali Limited to Husni Altheebeh.
  2. Tenancy Agreement dated March 1, 2017, between Husni Altheebeh and Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa & Nuhela Seidu, with landlord consent granted on August 8, 2017Renewal Agreement dated March 1, 2022, confirming the continuation of the tenancy.

The response further affirmed that Ablakwa’s tenancy remains valid, with all necessary legal consents and approvals in place.

To support their clarification, Finali Limited attached the following documents for reference:

  • Land Title Certificate (December 15, 2017)
  • Consent Certificate (2022 renewal)
  • Tenant’s Undertaking (signed in 2017 and 2022)
  • Lessee’s Acknowledgement (2017 and 2022)

The statement also noted that Airport Hills is predominantly an owner-occupied community, with rental properties subject to strict landlord consent.

The inquiry into Ablakwa’s residential status comes as part of parliamentary vetting processes. While some have raised questions about his residence, the minister’s proactive approach in seeking official confirmation from his landlord reflects his commitment to transparency.

With Finali Limited’s official confirmation, the matter may now be settled, barring further political debate or scrutiny.
